Technosaury(female, of course)

There are some interesting stats posted by the Australian Dept of Education. The last graph shows enrollment of female students in Universities around the country and the field they enroll in.

Note the tiny numbers in Info Tech and Engineering. It also states that :

….6.4% of all enrollments are in Information Technology, but only 2.4% of female enrollments are in that field…

Are we diminishing like the dinosaurs? Where is the problem? That computer fields are not suited for females? Or it is that females are not willing to adapt to the needs of the field? And what does that involve? Produce more flatulence?
